Our Mission

One of the best parts of a leadership role is getting the chance to let people know how much their work means to you. I want to thank those employees of the Noble County Sheriffs Department, past and present, for what they have done to make this department what it is today.

Since 1995 I have proudly served as a member of the Noble County Sheriffs Department. During that time we have seen a tremendous growth in the size and scope of our mission. The jail was increased from a 38 bed facility to well over 200 inmates.

We have experienced an enormous influx of methamphetamine in our county. I have been on the front lines of this fight since the first meth lab was discovered in the late 1990’s while I was working as an undercover narcotics officer. How do we fight this plague on our county? We do it with proactive policing, aggressive law enforcement, and public education.

I didn’t decide to run for sheriff and then take an active role in the meth problem in our county. I have actively worked in the trenches and in the classroom. For the last decade I have conducted hundreds of drug awareness programs for service groups, churches, and schools. We will continue to actively address this enormous problem in our county.

We have another very disturbing issue, the budget. We have never before faced the task of trying to do so much more with a shrinking fiscal budget. We must continue to responsibly manage the budget, staying within those constraints, but at the same time not losing site of the most important mission we have, keeping you and your family safe!

Ask yourself if you are pleased with the direction this department is moving. Now is not the time for change now is the time for experienced leadership from within.

With over a decade of administrative experience as the second in command of the sheriffs department I am ready to assume the role as your next sheriff.
